Associated Press says 25 companies will be demonstrating use of ENPS, AP’s broadcast news production system, with their systems and interfaces building on the AP-supported MOS protocol.

AP says it has cultivated development relationships with more than 100 companies; many ENPS sites around the world use MOS-enabled systems. The MOS network interface links news production systems with broadcast equipment, enabling journalists to see, use and control video servers and editors, audio servers and editors, character generators, prompters, automation systems and other gear.

AP says MOS support within ENPS is the most sophisticated implementation. Using MOS, systems from different manufacturers can work with ENPS to create faster, more interactive newsroom workflows.
